SGT KNOTS is a direct-to-consumer brand that cuts out the middleman, passing the savings on to customers. Our CEO, Mike Shelley, started the company as an MBA class project, making and selling paracord bracelets. Over time, SGT KNOTS has expanded into a large distributor of various ropes and cordages. Located in Statesville, North Carolina, about an hour north of Charlotte, SGT KNOTS is a veteran-owned and operated business that continues to live by the Marine Corps motto, "Semper Fidelis - Always Faithful."

Our tarred line, the Nylon Twine, is an all-purpose utility twine perfect for numerous indoor and outdoor applications. Carefully dyed black, the color is permanent and will not fade during rigorous outdoor activities. With low-flex properties, this twine can handle heavy loads and friction without sagging, slipping, or distorting under exertion. The evenly spun fibers allow the bank line to grip tightly, forming knots of superior strength, thanks to the double-twisted fibers that provide a smooth finish.

Nylon is one of the strongest and most popular materials used in ropes, cords, and twines. These smooth synthetic fibers are highly resistant to moisture, temperature, chemicals, UV rays, abrasions, and most weather conditions. Offering a slight stretch, nylon provides shock absorption for heavy load bearings and performs better and longer than natural rope fibers like cotton and manila.

Available in 1/4-pound or 1-pound options, the diameter and weight selection will determine the length, ranging from 120 feet to 1,680 feet. The twine diameter options range from #9 (1.07mm) to #120, and black is the only color available.
